I lived!

Greetings Earthlings!

Sorry it took me so long to get a post up about the backapacka trip. I've been a spot busy.
So all we did was hike. And make friends with some amazing Boy Scouts. Yeah. That's about it.
Cool.

Until Later!

It's Backapacka Time!

Greetings Earthlings!

Ok, so I was going to start this a tad different, but MB (Mary Beth) just hit me on the head with a rock, and now I don't remember what I was going to say...
Oh Yeah!
So, this weekend I'm going backpacking...
MARY BETH! STOP THROWING ROCKS OVER MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, she won't stop...
I had to hit her head...

Um, where was I? Oh, yes...
I'm going backpacking and I won't be back until Sunday, but, by then, I should have tons to tell you. Seeing as MB's going and all...
This should get interesting...
Anyways!
So we sometimes call backpacks backapackas. Back-uh-pack-uh-s.
So, guess what?
It's Backapacka Time!
See y'all- not really, but still- on Sunday!

Until Later!

Why The Podcast?

Greetings Earthlings!

So me and Mary Beth made a podcast about a month ago.
We thought it was THE BOMB! (speaking of bombs, we bomb fail. Read post below...)
Then I realized it was only two minutes long.
Sad day.
I could have SWORN it was longer...
So then me, Peter, Lydia and Joe (all younger family) made a new podcast. This one was about 'How to Make a Podcast.' We did that. We thought it was cool.
It was about three minutes long.
Grrrrrrrrrrr....
We can't seem to make long podcasts...
So we sang for another fifteen-ish minutes.
Yay! A long podcast!

Now, some of you might have some questions. Like:
Why the podcast?
Or:
Can I be on it?
Answers:
I have no clue.
And:
No. You can not.

And I have a question: Why am I blogging about this?
Answer:
No clue. Maybe you can tell me.
That is my question to you: Why am I blogging about this?
Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Until Later.

So, In Short, We Bomb Fail...

Greetings Earthlings!

So me and Mary Beth were trying to make a bomb.
We got it made: black power; soda can; matches; lighter.
We put the black power in the soda can and took a long match. We broke the match to where it's tip would be just at the top of the can when we put it in. We put it in.
We lit it.
Nothing happened.
We hit it with a stick.
Nothing happened.
James whacked in into the lake.
Something happened!: It sunk.
Drats.
So, in short, we bomb fail...
Yeah, epic fail. Epic frail, even!
Gah... We need to take bomb making classes or something.
Ah, well...

I Didn't Drop the Flag!

Greetings Earthlings!

So, last Sunday (May 17th), I went to my Tejas Riders May Playday.
For those of you how don't quite understand, let me sum it up!
Ok, so Tejas Riders is like a horseback riding club and the Playday is where we show off our skills by doing drills and racing barrels.
Well, I missed April practice so I had no clue I was going to be setting pivots. Pivots are where you go in (Holding a BIG flag) do a small drill and then set up for the rest of the group to weave around you. When the end retches you, you catch on the end.
I didn't know I was going to be doing that until about two hours before I had to do it. I had never done it before, and then had no time to practice. And I was leading it. Gah...
I did pretty well though and it turned out great. I didn't drop the flag! That made me happy.
But EVEN BETTER!

I also got chosen to ride in with the Texas flag!!!!!!!!
A HUGE Honor, second only to riding in with the American flag. We kinda ran around the arena a few times (On horses, DUH.) The Texas flag was heaver than the pivots by, like, five pounds or so.
And I didn't drop the flag! Nope, I never let go of it. Granted, when the wind shifted, I DID get a face full of Texas flag. So did Bueno, my favorite horse. But, aside from that, I think I did FLIPPIN' AWESOME!
Oh, and I got a killer sunburn on my arms. But still... Most awesome day of my life! So far...

Until Later!
